Alaska Small Boat Cruises

Do you think I get seasick on a Cruise To Alaska? What about field trips?
I'm not terribly prone to seasickness, but have been known to be quite green in a small boat in rough water. I have been told that large cruise ships stablizers not even feel they are in motion, so I'm not too worried about that part, but I hope to go on side trips to see whales and sea otters. Has anyone done this, and people tend to get dizzy on them?
If they are not prone to it, then it will likely be well on the boat. Unless there are rough waters in particular, or if they drink too much, you really can not feel too much action. It also helps if you have a window or balcony of your room. Focusing on the horizon at any time feel a twinge can help alleviate it. Boat trips children are a different story. Take seasickness pills with you if necessary. Is supposed to take them in advance, but the problem is that they can make you very sleepy. Instead, take some ginger biscuits contain real ginger in the boat with you. Eat that last night and this morning and keep a bag with you. The Ginger naturally helps some people with symptoms of dizziness. If you get half of the journey and begin to feel that lie ahead, pop pills and keep looking at the skyline. And do not drink more than a drink or two at any time. The problems that alcohol can cause illness can intensify the symptoms of the sea as well. Good luck and have fun!
