Is this a cavity?

Ok, this is going to be hard to explain, but I'll give it a shot. On the back of my left front tooth does not feel as a small lump no bigger then a pin hole and got my husband to check and said there is a little hole there, but it looks like a small package, as part of the enamel. Now I have no pain, but I feel with my tongue and it feels like food is or is not a cavity? oh ya and the place is like my tooth is not abnormal Color …

This sounds like a normal pit, formed while the tooth was developing. I have exactly what you describe, a hole with a knob enamel on it. If you keep the area clean you probably will not decline, since this area is rarely broken. Cavities most often occurs between teeth, brush to 2-3 times daily for 2 minutes and flossing 1 time per day. If you want to be proactive you can use a fluoride mouthwash on the counter (such as ACT or Fluorigard), which benefit all teeth in the mouth to help the areas that are breaking obtain remineralized.
