What time of year I suggest fishing in Sitka, Alaska?
Where are the best times of year to book a place in the fishing lodge in Sitka? We are taking a trip away in the MDR Halibut Derby and let me know what time of year is the best salmon in the best of Big "Barn Door" Pacific halibut size.
"Barn Door" halibut size ~ ay the best of my recollection (lived in Sitka and especially Southeast AK.) was from June to August. For example, salmon., Kings (Chinook) would be from May to June. Note that the owner / charter boat service, have a great bearin 'on size of the catch. I hope I've helped a trite
