Canon Cameras.  I have found these work the best for me, and give me the best bang for my buck.  Yah I have to buy all my gear, I am not sponsored by anyone, so that way you get honest real facts about how well they work in the extreme Alaska conditions.

Pixel Shooter is a great FREE site to get a lot of info on cameras and photography as well as meet some great photographers.  Check it out.  I am AKPhotos on here. Hope to see you online.

A Great Photo hosting site.  Zenfolio is working well for me.  They are fast and easy to use and allow you a wide range of options.  Not to mention they have better pricing and storage sizes than the others I have looked at or tried.  Give them a try.  I am pretty sure you will like them as much as I do.  Here is a COUPON referral code to save $5 on joining  3UG-CRM-UQV.

Acratech ballheads.  I love these.  I have tried many brands, including Kirk and RRS, and I have found these to be as good or better, lighter and a better value.  Also they are all made in the Great USA, and that means something nowadays.  I have the V2 and the GV2, and love them both!  I have several friends that have tried them now and all of them love them.  Give them a try, you will be happy you did.  If they can handle the Extreme Alaska winters, they can take anything! Scott, the owner is a really great person and takes the time to answer his message himself, thats something we dont see much of anymore!  If you want QUALITY and VALUE this is the ballhead you want!

Ford   They are built tough and to get into the  deep brush and some of the best photo locations you need a safe tough vehicle.  I'll take my F150 any day of the week, as I know it will get me there and back safe and sound.  And then there is the powerful and sleek Shelby Mustang!  :)

Portage Glacier.  The rare case of an Iceberg in the lake, with the glacier now so far back from it.
