How I can get from the airport to the Juneau Alaska Marine Highway System terminal in Juneau, without a car?
I'm going to Skagway in the summer and I'm trying to understand how I can get from the airport to the Juneau Alaska Marine Highway System terminal without a car. Is there a bus or a ferry running between the two?
If you are short on time, take a taxi. A taxi from the airport to the ferry terminal would be about $ 20 or less. If you have a lot time and does not take much luggage you can take the bus to Auke Bay and get off at a place called Deharts (see Auke Bay boat). Once there, follow walking west. The ferry terminal is located 2 miles after Deharts. For the heck of it, I did a search and a few web sites say it is a shuttle that will from the ferry terminal, but could not find anything in any of the Juneau travel websites or a website with a timetable. I do not remember there is a shuttle service when I lived there (again, I lived there … I had a car)
