in New York it is legal to install a seat in the bed of my truck?

I have a nissan frontier extended cab 02 and not much space in the seats jump back! for what he was thinking of going to the scrap yard and pull a seat of a mini van and install it on the bed of my truck seat belts everyone. Does anyone know whether it would be legal for me to do it and let ppl back there?
